Oh hey there my sweet good looking friends! Y'all are gorgeous but doughnuts - boy they sure are on another level of sugary deliciousness and of course who gives a crap about them being calorie packed. I sure don't and that's why I am introducing you to Suzy Q Doughnuts, a magical place of pure indulgence in Ottawa. From sprinkled, sugared, glazed and powdered, they have them all and each bite is a glorious mouthful of pure joy. I'm not kidding seriously. With flavours like Salty Caramel, Maple Bacon, Blue Vanilla Fruit Loop, Raspberry Cassis, Cookies and Cream, London Fog and Sugar Munkki, you know you’re in for a treat.

Props to Sue Hamer's genius mind for bringing to fruition a location where folks can daydream into a sweet paradise.

FoodSaver Vacuum Sealing System

The holiday season is officially upon us and as a foodie,  I relish in the fact that holiday parties are here. That means it's time to cook up a storm in the kitchen and get the prep work started. My little secret this year has been quite the nifty little thing - it's compact, fits nicely on my kitchen countertop and boy does it sure have a sleek design.

What am I talking about? Well let me tell you!

Say hello to the FoodSaver 2-In-1 Vacuum Sealing System!

Slightly confused? This innovative solution is a fully automated sealing system that creates perfectly air-tight bags, containers and marinates food in minutes for long term and short term food storage. It's a one step process and quite the user friendly tool. From meats, fruits to mason jars, the FoodSaver is hands down your lifesaver this season and worth every penny. Imagine keeping your food fresh for up to five times longer than normal.

Thanks to its better sealing power (I'm not kidding!) and fully automatic option, the FoodSaver is fast and efficient. The 2-in-1 sealing feature helps to perform lots of multiple tasks in a breeze.

This vacuum sealer will a quite the handy dandy appliance with the holidays right around the corner. Have you ever sealed a full chicken, an entire casserole or fresh strawberries? The FoodSaver will be your new best friend especially with its accessories, creating a perfect air-tight conditions in all situations as you are not limited to just using bags. The options are endless from refrigerated foods, pantry items to buying in bulk and saving money in the long run.

If you're a avid fisherman, hunter, gardener or simply a mom, you'll be quite the happy camper.

As they say, air is the enemy of freshness causing freezer burns and leaving food with no taste. So if you're still picking out gifts, keep this one in mind!

With a press of a button, you're ready to seal away!

Do you buy meat in bulk or a hunter? Well you're in luck as you may just have to ask Santa for a Food Saver. You best be nice!

Do you see any air bubbles? I sure don't and that means no more freezer burns and spoilage!

While I have been compensated with product - this review is all my own honest opinions and experiences.

This mac n cheese lover may have just found her true love - say hello to Bobbie Sue's Mac n Cheese! Praise hallelujah the cheese heavens have blessed us with a glorious gift this season and it comes in true cheeselicious form. Their menu is small yet simple focusing on one dish that makes perfect sense - macaroni and cheese!

This new addition to the Toronto area is sure to be a hot spot with locals and foodies. Co-owners Nicholas and Frederic Laliberté sure knew how win the hearts of many with this new restaurant under their belt.

I'll certainly be trying the  Carbonara Mac (pancetta + grana padano + egg yolk) and good old Classic Mac (five-cheese blend)! See you soon Bobbie Sue's!
