Winemaker’s Dinner Benefit Series: Where Culinary Artistry Meets Philanthropy

Nestled right in our backyard lays one of Canada’s most exciting wine regions – Prince Edward County. Filled with award winning wineries producing world class Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling (among others), this stunning area offers high quality wines to please every palette and a prime example is the ever-so successful Rosehall Run Vineyard.

But what transpires when you bring the taste of the County to the city of Kingston? Ladies and gentleman, we have our very first Winemaker’s Benefit Dinner Series hosted at the Delta Kingston Waterfront Hotel in support of the United Way KFLA. Acclaimed winemaker Dan Sullivan of Rosehall Run Vineyards and Executive Chef Brent McAllister of AquaTerra came together this past week to deliver a genuine dining experience with a multi-course dinner showcasing locally sourced artisanal ingredients – with carefully selected wine pairings to compliment each course. As two talented success stories in their own fields, Chef McAllister’s menu combined with Sullivan’s wine expertise set the bar pretty high for future dinners.

This February 14th, forget the typical chocolate and flowers, better yet impress your partner-in-crime with a cozy evening in. After a long week at work, help her unwind and de-stress on Valentine’s Day with a relaxing bath, a glass of wine, lit candles followed by perhaps a fondue dining experience right at home or a movie. The combinations are endless and sure to please her as you kick off a day of love with a glass full of good vibes.

You really don't need to do too much to put together a wonderful soirée, though look no further than UncommonGoods, a community of passionate people to satisfy all your needs for a perfect evening in! And I mean it!

Whether you're a student, tourist or local, Kingston is enjoying a bit of an independent coffee revival that includes new cafes, small-batch roasters and fun artistic baristas. It's worth noting that this trend is not just hitting the downtown core, but also spreading to the suburbs and exciting locations filled with innovation.

New Year New Image

Say hello to The Staycationer!

Aquaterra Kingston

You guessed it, it's officially the new year and I've rebranded. Well, it's really only the beginning. I have a few more things up my sleeves, so stay tuned! I've been toying around with the idea of reinventing myself for awhile now and there's no time like the present. I was inspired by the wonderful city of Kingston and thought the name was quite fitting as I consider myself a locavore with a penchant for culinary deliciousness, who of course relishes in storytelling while creating meaningful connections.

So what's in store for 2016? You'll just have to wait and see my friends!

xoxo
