Photo Diary | Kingston Weekend Staycation

Monday, July 27, 2015

It's hard to believe that the month of August is right around the corner which ultimately means that the end of summer is drawing closer. I've come to realize that weekends have come and gone and thus so have the weeks. It is with this in mind that I have created once again a bucket list of items to do within my adoptive city of Kingston. I'm one who very much enjoys staycation experiences and having the opportunity to embrace my surroundings as they have made me who I am today. Kingston is filled with hidden gems and thanks to my adventurous self, I'm always on the hunt to excite my curiosity.

As a workaholic who works full-time, blogs and does freelance writing as well as social media management, I am quite the busy bee. So unplugging for a few hours (okay with the exception of snapping photos!) is quite pleasurable and relaxing.

Snapshots of my Kingston moments:

{Gazing out at the Kingston Waterfront}

{Kingston Waterfront}

{Sip on the best cafe lattes in town at the Common Market - a hidden gem in downtown Kingston}

{Indulging in Homemade Eggs Benny}

{Visit Salt of the Earth Farm Stand on Highway 2}

{Fresh Strawberries from Salt of the Earth Farm Stand on Highway 2}

{Cycle your way through Kingston with Ahoy Rentals}

{Hop on Hop Off the Kingston Trolley Tour}

{Browse the Antique Market in Springer Market Square}

{Pick up fresh veggies or hot sticky buns from the Memorial Centre Farmers' Market}

{End the day with an ice cream cone from White Mountain Homemade Ice Cream}

My next stops:

Rowing
Movies in the Square
Wolfe Island Grill
Big Sandy Beach on Wolfe Island
Improbable Escapes
and more! You'll just have to wait till next week!

What's your favourite Kingston spot?
