Colored Denim

Color is such a great way to amp up your spring and summer wardrobe. There are so many different options now it's unbelievable. However, this season colored denim is all the rage. This trend like others, in my opinion is here to stay. If you have not found your perfect pair yet, don't give up. It took me some time to find my perfect pair and since then I have been loving them! So don't be afraid or hesitant to get your own!

On the other hand, if your style is more classic then trendy which tends to be my issue, colored denim is a current look that you should definitely get behind. Simply because in my case, I tend to just pick and choose which trends are right for me as opposed to replenishing my wardrobe every season with items that will be 'out' in a few months. A motto I quite like, as classic pieces are a good investment that can be paired with trendier pieces. Such as these vibrant pink jeans combined with a navy blue blazer and horizontal striped shirt. So cute and classic at the same time. Don't you agree?

What do you think about this trend? Would you invest in colored denim? If so what color?

My next pair will be bright green or light blue, I still cannot decide!

Enjoy!

Table Side Du Jour

So my morning routine after checking and responding to emails, now consists of going on Pinterest. Today as I was browsing, I stumbled upon this fabulous pink bed side table. I fell in love with it because of the simpleness and crisp textures used. While the table may be bright, it is quite subtle as it blends into the room. Also if you did not notice it only has two legs, so clever and unique! This made me think of going antique shopping and doing a diy project with an old piece of furniture, which I adore.

Stay tuned for more lovely table side du jour in the coming weeks!

                                     Enjoy!

'Tis the season to decorate

So before I start off, I would like to state that it is actually snowing in Ontario! I still cannot believe it but I did not let the weather stop me from posting these images that remind me of spring and especially since it's almost peony season!

Nonetheless with that being said, I will admit that I have been obsessed with Pinterest and found these inspiring images on this quite addictive site. While I adore the colours and types of flowers, I am relishing in the types of vases used! How original and fabulous?!

So whether you are hosting a party or simply entertaining, how would you arrange your flowers?

Favorite Television Shows

So let's face it I am a geek and adore sci-fi and espionage shows.  However lately, with school and extra-circulars, I have not been able to keep up with any of my shows, whether they be recent or old. I thought today would be a good day to share my all time favorite shows.

In no particular order, here they are:

JAG. Numb3ers. Roswell. Crossing Jordan. Veronica Mars. Felicity. Ally McBeal. Buffy. Jeremiah. The X-Files. Firefly. Battlestar Galactica. Stargate SG-1. Stargate Atlantic. Relic Runter. Bionic Woman. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Blood Ties. Moonlight. Cold Case. Dawson's Creek. Doctor Who. Dark Angel. Dollhouse. Greek. Wildfire. Women's Murder Club. Fringe. ER. Alias. Covert Affairs. Haven. Warehouse 12. Rizzoli & Isles. Nikita. The City. Privileged. Alcatraz.

For the most part, many of these shows have been cancelled or ended and much were aired back in the late 90s and early 2000s. Nonetheless, if I could pick my top three they would be,

1. JAG

We secretly knew Harm and Mac would always end up together! And so they did in the last episode.

2. Felicity

Felicity and Ben were the two characters I very much enjoyed watching grow as individuals, and realizing that they actually wanted to be together made my day. (Somewhat cheesy I know!).

3. Alias

After lasting six years, I am still a fan of the character Sidney Bristow and will always adore Jennifer Garner as an actress. Also JJ Abrams is a fabulous director and producer.

What shows do you enjoy watching?

Enjoy!

Happy Easter

I have officially completed all my undergrad courses and am now moving on to studying for exams before I officially graduate with a degree in Computer Engineering. After four long years, the moment I have been waiting for has finally arrived. However, reality struck when I received my Iron Ring, a ring worn by many engineers in Canada as a symbol of the pride which engineers have in their professions while simultaneously reminding them of their humility. The ring also serves as a remainder of the obligations and ethics associated with the profession. Having this ring on my little pinky has made the past few years at Queen's U worthwhile.

Anywho, on another note, you may know that today is Easter and once again, mother nature has graced us with her wonderful presence bringing us lots of sun and blue skies. When I consider Easter, I immediately think of pastels and today's inspiration for this post is all about this. Enjoy!

This outfit is adorable and is ideal for sunday brunch with the family. Once exams are over, I am going out and finding myself a great pastel lace dress similar to this one.

As spring is among us, why not enjoy the weather and go for walk. Putting together this outfit, made me realize that I definitely need to take study breaks and go on a slight adventure down by the lake near my uni and possibly reminisce with friends. Sounds sappy I know, but if you're in the same situation as I am and entering the real world then you know the feeling.

Last but not least, read my post on Dormify for what I believe every university woman should own.
