Get Inspired at Art Bomb Festival in Gananoque This Weekend

Plans for the weekend? An art lover? Or an enthusiast? Like road trips? And small towns?

Well, I've got the most perfect event (that's also free!) for you taking place this Sunday, September 29th from 12pm-8pm in Gananoque! This picturesque destination is the gateway to the 1000 Islands but also home to some talented folks. An idea that was sparked by two local artists Heather Haynes and Pam Staples, Art Bomb Festival was the creation of wanting to provide people with an insider perspective of how an artists mind works and showcase how they create their inspiration.

"Art Bomb Festival will transform our community into an open-air gallery for one day inviting the community to engage and experience the Arts in all forms. This one-day event will take place in all around this community...from the waterfront to the downtown in participating galleries, restaurants and shops, as well as public spaces."

A sort of art crawl through the town, visitors of all ages will have the chance to discover Gananoque while also learning more about the arts. Temporary art installations will be installed in various locations around the community, so get your walking shoes on and get ready to explore, learn and engage! Did I mention it's free?

The amazing folks at the Kingston Arts Council are the host organization for this year. In case you didn't know, Culture Days is a nation-wide, three-day national event that celebrates arts and culture aka a weekend to shine a spotlight on the creative life of your community and recognize the importance of cultural engagement! It is set to kick-off in Kingston and across Canada on Friday, September 27th, 2019 and this year, the Tett Centre for Learning and Creativity is an official Hub for Culture Days events, inviting the community to learn more about the different organizations they house and to partake in workshops and activities at their Open House.
