Bright & Bold

There's something about the summer season and bright bold lip color. I simply cannot get enough of it. It's a great way to draw attention or to accessorize an outfit, such as Blake Lively pictured below. She kept her makeup simple and focused on enhancing her eyes and lips. It also is very trendy this season and will most likely inspire others around you. But most importantly, you will look look and feel fabulous! Just trust me on this one. What do you have to lose?

{Nautical and Nice}

How would you pair your bold lipstick with an outift?

Enjoy!

Afternoon Inspiration

When I first stumbled upon this image, I simply gazed at it for a few minutes before I immediately fell in love with the three gorgeous dresses. From experience I know that a girl cannot resist anything with sparkles or glitter. Also the level of detail of the dresses and how they are portrayed is quite unique and breathtaking!

Who wants to go dress shopping? I know I do!

Dress Savvy with isme Fashion

As one of the leading fashion brands for real women and busy mums, isme knows just how important it is for ladies to feel comfortable in what they wear whilst still looking great. Now celebrating their first birthday, ladies fashion at isme continues to offer timeless wardrobe staples to suit all tastes, figures and budgets so that women can wear the latest trends with confidence.

Savvy dressers like actress Helen Mirren and model Christie Brinkley have been spotted wearing designs that can be found for a fraction of the price at isme. For those like Christie who fancy a splash of colour in their wardrobes, this deliciously pink maxi dress with flattering wrap detail is a great way to emulate some model style. For more colour inspiration, Meryl Streep’s red v-neck dress, worn at the premiere of adventure flick John Carter, can be easily imitated with Isme’s feminine Teatro Frill Occasion Dress. This frock would look perfect combined with an over-sized statement clutch and matching peep toes for a classy evening look.

Individuality lies at the centre of ladies fashion at isme, ensuring that women keep hold of their own sense of style when choosing from the latest trends.  With designs that flatter all the right curves, and with Loose Women’s Lynda Bellingham as the collection’s style ambassador – as chosen by customers – shoppers know that they’re in good hands for clothes that serve both fashion and function.

Choose from shapely, flattering cuts and bold printed evening maxi dresses or, for a more practical day time outfit, look stylish in some great fitting three-quarter jeans or capri pants.  For a complete look, team with one of Isme’s brightly patterned tunics and finish with a cardigan to cover up for those balmy summer evenings.

With so many pretty fashion staples to choose from, including feminine beach outfits and elegant evening dresses, office wear and casual separates, all women can afford to spoil themselves on a frock or two this summer.

Pink & Navy

So lately, I have been obsessing over this palette of navy blue and pink and have been trying to incorporate it into my daily wardrobe. Don't you think that these colours make the perfect pairing? They go hand in hand if you ask me. It's just the right balance between masculine and feminine. It reminds me of a preppy affair that is well suited for a wedding as it solves an aged-old problem between couples trying to pick a color scheme.

The simple reason for adoring this palette is that, one is able to have a twist of modern and vintage characteristics as it captures the romance of pink and the classic elegance of navy. Just imagine your bridesmaids in an indigo dress embellished with lace detailing holding a bouquet of pink roses, standing next to handsome groomsmen with festive pink and navy bow ties. How preppy!

What fun color combination do you adore?

Enjoy!

Table Side Du Jour

As I looked out my window this morning, Kingston reverted to having spring showers once again, sigh. Though we had some lovely sunny days this past week, I was not in the best mood this morning as I stayed up late rearranging my new room the night before. However as I went on Pinterest, my mood immediately changed as I saw this image. In my mind, it simply signified the start of something new, summer obviously!

{Marcus Design Inc}

The first thing that caught my eye was the vase of pink roses and the bright light shining into the room. Hence I wish this was today! Secondly was the black dresser with magnificent gold detailing. What do you think? If I were to incorporate this into my room, I would definitely do a diy project and paint the dresser white or even divide it into two bed side tables! How clever?

Stay tuned for more Table Side Du Jour posts!
