Maxi Dresses

I first stumbled upon these fabulous dresses while on Pinterest (obviously) and I am falling in love with the lavender and mint strapless maxi dress on the right. It has a cinched bust as well as two side pockets. Also not to mention the bold necklace it is paired with, is gorgeous and I would definitely like to get my hands on one.

As for the maxi dresses, sometimes they can overwhelm petitie figures. For a fairly short person such as myself, you need to remember that they make a statement when worn. Hence, let the dress be the focus. Simply add some pieces of jewelry,  some shoes and you're ready to go. On another note, be wise and careful with these dresses to avoid being swallowed up in fabric. Personally, I would stick to more basic and form fitting styles that accentuate my waist.

My tip to you:
Don't be afraid to try a maxi dress as they tend to look good on most figures.

Enjoy!
