Things are getting spicy in the County aka Prince Edward County. There's a new spot in Wellington where if you're craving delicious authentic Mexican cuisine, then look no further than La Condesa. Having only been open for a few days, I had to immediately add this gem to my foodie bucket list after scrolling through my Instagram feed. Yup, that's how I find cool new spots and share with you all - gotta love social media.
The moment you walk into this Mexican eatery, it gives off a lively vibe with a combination of vibrant decor and feel-good atmosphere. They do an amazing job showcasing the fresh bold flavours that represent true Mexican cuisine and culture but also offers a menu full of locally sourced items and a 100% County wine list.

This new hidden gem is must when visiting the area and chef Sam Valdivia, a native of Mexico and previously Chef at Parsons Brewing Company, has brought a taste of her homeland to Wellington, Ontario with mouth-watering dishes such as queso fundido, enchiladas, tinga tostada, ceviche, and the list goes on.
As my foodie partner in crime and I savoured each bite as we dined for lunch, we'd simply smile and nod in agreement that the food was worth the drive. From the freshly made fish taco with crispy fried County catch perch, cabbage, chipotle, aioli and pico to the perfect watermelon rosé sangria - this spot is now being added to our favourites list for the summer. And if mouth-watering tacos weren't enough, their enchiladas mixcas de picadillo aka rolled tortilla stuffed with stewed local ground beef, topped with cheese, salsa roja and salsa verde was delicious.
