Brr! The last few days have been quite chilly hence why I have already started sipping on warm apple cider, pumpkin spice lattes and baking up a storm in my kitchen with all the apples I picked last weekend. So I have an announcement to make, fall is here and here to stay or well I hope it is. As one of my favourite seasons, I correlate fall with everything cozy.

INGREDIENTS & INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Peel, core, and slice the apples into small wedges.
6 apples
1/8 tsp salt
1 tbsp of lemon juice
1/2 cup of brown sugar
Blend salt, lemon juice and brown sugar into sliced apples in a casserole dish.
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
Mix the above ingredients and sprinkle over top the apples.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 35 minutes uncovered, or until apples are soft. Remove from oven and let stand for 10-15 minutes before serving.
Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
