Brunch is reason enough to get out of bed in the morning. It's the perfect cure for hangovers and weekday blunders, an indulgent wake-up call complete with eggs benny, fluffy pancakes and of course, a generous helping of crispy bacon.
No matter what city you're in, there is always no shortage of amazing spots to choose from. Ask me if I'd like to go to brunch and my immediate answer will most certainly be YES, as it is quite the gratifying ritual that deserves to be celebrated with lots of caffeine.
This bring me to The Socialist Pig, a quaint coffee shop and restaurant located in Gananoque, part of the 1000 Islands area that truly deserve some jazz hands love (I know I'm cheesy). With a vintage cozy feel, this shop is more than just good coffee, delectable desserts and delicious dining - it has a sense of passion and love for its community that keeps people coming back such as myself.
My go-to at The Pig (other than their mac n cheese) is hands down their brunch menu!
Snaps of my scrumptious meal that included a seasonal beverage of none other than gingerbread latte:
