Indulge in your Guilty Pleasures with Loving Spoonful

On the evening of February 1st, the culinary community of Kingston came together for the fourth annual Guilty Pleasures event at Olivea Restaurant for an evening of fabulous food, fun and fundraising in support of Loving Spoonful. With a seven-course tasting menu inspired by the culinary teaching and creations of Julia Child, this years line up of chefs included: Stev George of Olivea, Derek MacGregor of Le Chien Noir Bistro, Ian Arthur of Chez Piggy, Paul Muller of Bella Bistro, Andrew Smythe of Tango Nuevo and Marty Huxtable of Dianne’s.

Better with Butter was the nights theme and boy, was it executed marvelously. Each chef worked seamlessly alongside bringing together creations of pure wonder all in the name of a worthy cause. It was quite a sight to see local chefs, businesses and members of the community join forces for the sole purpose of enhancing healthy food access, skills and engagement for individuals and families in the area.

But seriously the night couldn't have been any better. My foodie partner-in-crime and I were seated with a group of like-minded folks whom we chatted with all night long over local events, favourite restaurants and the list goes on. This a must event to attend!
