Mac n Cheese Love at Three Red Aprons

There's a new addition to the west end of Kingston by the name of Three Red Aprons. And let me say that you are in for a real cheesy treat. Before I go on, I have to admit something - if you didn't already know, I Rosalyn, have a love affair with mac n cheese.

Let’s be real, mac n cheese is better than mostly everything and anything. It never disappoints. How could anything possibly compete with a bowl of macaroni layered in a heavenly bechamel cheese sauce. It is simply all around comfort food - a remedy for all things. It brings happiness and a sense of consolation. Ooey gooey cheese, bacon bits, bread crumbs or perhaps spice it up with lobster - the options are endless!

Three Red Aprons has been a blessing to the Kingston community offering home-style dishes with a twist filled with passion and full of flavour. Owned by the lovely Brenda Ronan, her motto is all about making food with love and what better way than to make mac n cheese.

Whether you are on the go, have time to enjoy a sit down meal or hosting an event - Brenda is your go-to woman for all things comfort food. Her wholesome take on the traditional mac n cheese available as a take away meal that pops right into your oven come dinner time is like no other. It takes me back to my childhood and triggers happy memories. This dish has the perfect creamy macaroni and cheese consistency topped with a layer of fine herbs and crisp breadcrumbs. No fancy bits needed here and perfect size for a family!

Mac n cheese fritters with bacon bourbon jam - that's right. Are you drooling yet? Oh so crunchy, creamy, and of course...cheesy. Available on the kitchen menu, these bad boys are panko crusted, crispy deep fried and served with a side of spicy ketchup or garlic aioli. Three Red Aprons is sure to fill your bellies with goodness and certainly did mine when I stopped by. Pure perfection and the right amount of goodness to satisfy your cravings.

So if you are looking to satisfy you cheesy craving, swing by Three Red Aprons!
